![]() It’s a good thing you get trial to see how bad this is. It’s unfortunate as I’ve had other apps that do the same thing for other car brands and they work perfectly. Also, the ratings make no sense - it counts against you days that you might drive or time spent in the car which isn’t really in your control. No reason you need to wait for a subsequent trip to see the last completed. It makes no sense that they don’t show the trip that you previously had until you’ve done another trip of at least five minutes, so you really could be going days if you haven’t driven and not see the last trip. When I have gotten it to work, the success rate of starting the car is low. Sometimes it even loads and then refreshes and reloads again. I have closed the application, rebooted my phone, and even reinstall the app and nothing seems to help. When you open the app outside of the car the menu to any of the functions doesn’t show up. Every time you get in the car for some reason it opens even though none of the functions you can use while you’re in the car. We've included a link to the RSA Benefits page if you'd like to review what coverages are afforded to you. Regarding Roadside Assistance, those benefits are available free of charge for the duration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. We appreciate your insight into the issues you've experienced with the application and its price point. For a few features and some that you don’t really use everyday, $110 is an unreasonable price. I find the app pricey for $110 a yr subscription and this doesn’t include road side assistance which is another $110. I’m thinking if the app is connecting to the van thru its gps that uses the satellite, it should not have that problem. But, the van is just in front of our house and our room is in the front. Sometimes, it will tell you that the van is not in a good location so the app can’t connect. ![]() When you access the app and click the start or any function, you will see a line that shows how long you have to wait to connect to the van. It also gives you locations of Honda dealers.ĬONS: It takes so long for the app to connect to the van. The app also shows how much gas you have and the miles you can travel, the PSI for tires and any alerts or recall messages. PROS: like the app for the following features: remote start, the lock/unlock doors, security alert and find vehicle. I have a Honda Odyssey Elite 2019 that is paired with this app. HondaLink subscription package may be required. HondaLink® features are available in the continental United States and Canada. Use HondaLink® with compatible Honda vehicles to access features, such as scheduling service appointments, roadside assistance, and more. *Remote Engine Start is currently not available for 2019-2022 Pilot Touring/Elite/Black Edition, 2019+ Passport Touring/Elite, and 2023+ Civic Type R vehicles. Battery charge monitoring and control is available for Clarity Electric and Plug-in Hybrid vehicles. Available for 2018+ Odyssey Touring/Elite, 2018-2022 Accord Touring and 2023+ Accord all trims, 2019+ Insight Touring, 2019+ Pilot Touring/Elite/Black Edition*, 2019+ Passport Touring/Elite*, 2023+ Civic Type R*, 2023+ CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid, and 2023+ Pilot Touring/Elite vehicles. Then, you will have at least 4 navi maps to pick from (Acura, Waze, Apple maps, Google maps), voice assistance that works, no more $99-$199 updated DVD disks, and the passenger can input map directions on the go.The HondaLink® app has added new and exciting remote control features like Remote Engine Start, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, and Find My Car. On occasion, the Acura navi has temporarily lost its way on new(ish) road construction because of an outdated database but, gets back on track eventually (happened at the Boulder City hwy bypass southeast of Las Vegas).Īnother option is to look into Grom to update the upper screen with Carplay. I have Acuralink and I sometimes send the address to the Acura navi (upper navi screen is easier to read, hear, and see for me compared to a smartphone screen). I sometimes have Waze with all my destination address saved as a back-up when traveling. My 18 RLX has the same 14-17 MDX info-tainment without carplay. I haven't updated the map database on my 18 RLX or 19 MDX yet. ![]() It seems it still takes the Acura navi database 2-3 years sometimes to update for new road construction, housing developments, or new/moved businesses. You really don't need the update if you mostly drive in your local area. I would only do the update if you travel a lot in unfamiliar areas and/or cell phone coverage is an issue.
